I ground off 2 hammers on mdl. 37 Smiths and they function fine.

I would use a Dremel Cutting wheel followed by a file and smoothing with 320 grit wet/dry.

I used a Dremel cutting wheel and then a smoother grinding wheel to take the edges off. I wasn't concerned about making it pretty, just more functional.

FYI, I've never had a gun related issue with decent ammo.

Like others used a drummel, which now my S&W 637 is just got a nub instead of the spur. I'mm going to try it like this until I decide to take it flush with the frame.

It was easy, just takes a little time is all.
