I'm thinking about bluing the barrel on my 9mm 24/7 pro. Is there anything I should be aware of or look out for before bluing it? Is it ok to submerge? Hot bluing or cold bluing?

Thanks for any and all suggestions! :thumb:

this probably wont be very helpful cause i've never done bluing my self..

but i do know there are several ways to blue metal, i believe most factory bluing is the hot bluing, the stuff you can do your self the cold bluing i believe has to be rubbed on and is really best used for touch ups.. i have seen people do entire guns before with nothing but those DIY bluing kits the problem though is it's very hard to get it uniform and so usually you have some dark and light spots which dont look the best.

Because the new 800 series stainless looks so good with a blued barrel. ;) I know...it's dumb. Just thought it would be cool to personalize it a little bit.
