I purchased a new 9 mm Millennium PT111 Pro and after reading the general safety information; can I safely fire a 147 gr fmj w/990 muzzle velocity using this hand gun?

Most Modern 9mm semi autos have no problems with 15, 124 0R 147gr bullets. 990 is a good push on the heavier bullet. Is there anything in particular that has you concerned about this? I fir all 3 rounds from various 9s ranging from 3" barrel pocket pistols to 5+" barrel competition guns.

I used them in my PT111, before in a moment of weakness, I sold it. No issues whatsoever.

Since you listed a target load, if you have any hesitancy don't use the round. I tend to agree that it would be safe to use but the psychological discomfort isn't worth it - especially considering when things get back to "normal" you will be able to get 115/124 grain cartridges.

I use 9mm 147gr. JHP SD ammo for carry. Usually only shoot (5) or so rounds at range to be sure it feeds okay. Balance on range is 115gr and/or 124gr FMJ. No P or +P
