Beef with the grips on the Poly......

1085 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Brink
It's a pain to use a speedloader (HKS model CA-44) because the grip gets in the way. They had to notice it when they molded it. I could probably shave part of the grip off but it would no doubt look crummy.

I'm gonna buy some quickstrips but really just wanted to vent.

Anybody run into this problem with other models or is it just the Poly?

Side note: Also bummed out that the cylider to frame clearance won't allow for .45 ACP in a moon clip. I realize this is probably for saftey reasons due to cylinder wall thickness or something else. Just would've been nice to save some coin on ammo cost is all.

Rant over.....

Perhaps your beef should be with HKS. I don't imagine that any revolver manufacturer consults on a speedloader from an outside company.
Perhaps, it was not designed with use of a speedloader in mind. I don't see how the speedloader company would be at fault for the grip clearly being in the way of the cylinder accepting ANY speedloader.

If there is a specific speedloader that will work with the Poly please let me know.
You could try 5-star but I don't know if it'll clear the grips on the poly...maybe only for the 410s...

I emailed them, and it won't work with the Poly.
