Hi Guys,

What is the barrel length of the 24/7 pro? Is it 4" or 4.2". Their website says 4"
while their online manual says 4.2". Could someone measure it? To buy a handgun
here in Canada it has to be at least 105+mm in length. That is approximately 4.2"
I am not interested in the long slide model.

BTW are there any Taurus dealers up here?

thanks in advance

I remember someone asking this awile back on another forum and the barrel measured 4.0something inches if I remember correctly. If I get a chance in the moring Ill measure mine and let you know if no one else has done it by then

Thanks. Much appreciated. But you are not wrong. From the picture the length
appears to be 4" + 2marks(out of 16). i.e. 4+2/16 = 4.125"

Ahhh! That is prohibited. Stupid Laws! Compact glocks are imported here with after-market barrels
which are just over 105mm in order to circumvent the laws. I will see whether I can buy such a barrel for
24/7 or I will think about the long slide.

ya thats what i meant, not 4.2 but 4 and 2/16ths

So the barrel has to be longer then 105mm and the 24/7 barrel is 103.6mm right?

Will they include the feed ramp on the barrel? that should put it 105.6mm

Barrel lengths on auto pistols ALWAYS includes the chamber. Feed ramp may sound iffy... but I'm betting that Taurus wouldn't have excluded the Canadian market by .2"

No, I don't think the feed ramp is included.

Cimarron,

The laws were deliberately written in such a way that most handguns that can be carried concealed were prohibited. I don't understand why they didn't specify overall length instead of barrel length. Australia also has such ridiculous laws. Glock makes some special barrel for such countries. I wish Taurus would do as well.

It is really funny that guns with 106mm barrels are being sold. :D I want some maker to sell guns that is 1/100mm more than 105mm. That will be a really slap in the face for the lawmakers. :p
