I would like to shoot a top break at least once. I've always been intrigued by them. Nice find, congrats !

Beautiful top-break H&R! That is a keeper! I have a 1982 H&R top-break 9-shot 22lr. It is by far my most unique hand gun.

Those old H&R revos are great.

I have a 999 Sportsman 9-shot breaktop .22LR - they are just cool guns - and typically - not priced too high.

Ours.... My home was built by my wife's great grand parents back in the 1920's. We have been remodeling this house since we moved in over 20 years ago and still keep finding things that surprise us. This is not the first firearm that we have found we have found a couple of old shotguns that were broke down and stored/hidden in boxes or chests too. I think that someday we will come across an old rifle as they were known to have a few....

This one is a black powder pistol and I don't trust it enough to try modern loads in it but I may hand load a few light cast bullet loads if I run across the components. Although it may end up in a shadow box on display in my gun room.

Very nice - I was going to suggest you need to check if black powder or not. Still a great find. Enjoy!

Oh wow! What a cool wheelie, and neat to just stumble across it.
All I ever found were mice nests and junk in my parents attic.

Congrats on that fine looking piece of history.
I have GOT to start hanging out in a better class of attic.

Congratulations!

Well, you do live in a town with some of the oldest attics in the nation. Start exploring!
