Taurus isn't the only company that copied the S & W, however there were Spanish copies of the pre-Model 10 everywhere in the first half of the last century.

Is that a Super Comanche? I have fired one a few times, they are better guns than their resale prices would indicate.
After thought: am I confusing it with a Llama?

llama super comanche - Google Search

Yes, the Astra is mine. I just could not pass it up. Great quality for the dollar. I watched a blue .357 version go for $230 on GB last week. Someone got a great deal. I was tempted, but need another .357 like I need another hole in my head.

Astra always made pretty good stuff. I never fired one of their revolvers, but I owned a couple of their autos (A75, A100), and they were solid pistols. As was the case with another Spanish firm who made great firearms (Star), I was sad to see them disappear forever. However, there are some good deals on these firearms to be found on GunBroker, so just as with the Rossi 720 we all talk about, it is still possible to get the Astra or the Star of your dreams.......
