No mention of the wounded first victim of the carjacker being armed or resisting in any way. It's too bad for the first victim but that's not the fault of the concealed carriers. At least they didn't fall victim to the same fate.
Off topic, but what a strange name for a town.

Laura Wohl, spokeswoman for the Tumwater Police Department, said an adult man who had been shot was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He was shot while the armed suspect tried to carjack his vehicle, Wohl said.

A person with his own weapon shot the suspect outside Walmart. That man was still on the scene about 7 p.m. and was being interviewed by law enforcement.
The incident began as a report of a drunken driver in the area of Israel Road and Tyee Drive near the Toyota dealership. People reported a driver was driving in the wrong direction in the vicinity. When police arrived, they couldn't find the vehicle.

They then responded to shots fired in the area of the nearby roundabout, Wohl said. They learned that a man had fired shots trying to carjack two vehicles.

A 16-year-old girl was injured, but not seriously. The suspect then headed to Walmart, Wohl said.
When they arrived at the Walmart, they learned that a man had tried to carjack a car, and shot a man inside the car twice. He then tried to carjack another car. Two citizens in the parking lot drew weapons; at least one of them shot and killed the armed man, she said.

Gosh people are just getting shot up everywhere these days.
Makes for good headlines I suppose.
This particular area is about 10 miles down the road near Olympia.
So I am going to cower under my bed in the fetal position for a while if that's ok with everyone.
Go 30 miles farther down the road near Tacoma and it begins to sound like a firing range.

Maybe they should change the name to WarMart?

That will save the state the cost of a trial.

So you're saying the good people not only ended the threat but saved tax payers money as well? Not to mention freeing up the local courts! WOW, I didn't know all the benefits to being a conceal carrier! :D

So, let's see here. The carjacked shot how many people and tried to carjack how many cars before being taken down by a couple of armed CHL holders? What was he doing? Shopping for just the right car with the right trim package? What is wrong with this picture?

well don't know about Wally Worlds everywhere but here and in most of the southeast about the last place that you want to try to get away with a crime is a Wally World.
you see people in everything from overalls, dress suits, bikinis, pajamas all carrying guns and chewing tobacco with their hip /shoulder holsters and walking around.
Some of the men even chew on the baccy as well!

I was thinking the same thing. Very strange story. I hope the wounded make out alright. The only downside to the shooter being killed is who's going to pay their hospital bills?

Stories of people getting robbed and or shot were around even way back when I was a little kid. The difference is now we have legal concealed carry, and the stories are now starting to say the criminal is the one getting shot instead. A much better headline than innocent unarmed victim getting shot, IMHO.

Yeah, and the story would be one concealed carrier shot back.

Now, we have two and three going after them. Remember the restaurant where two customers went to their cars to get their guns, then stopped the threat? I believe the place was a gun free zone.

PSA: Stoopid criminals, be aware!
