Are these Sarsilmaz handguns the same: the Sargun and the ST9

They certainly look cosmetically identical, though I have seen some variations re: the rear sight.

They both also come with translucent magazines!

Perhaps there are internal differences? Maybe a 'gen 1 / gen 2' kind of thing? Both names have been used with guns sold in the USA.

Anyone know?

Thanks!

Yes, the Sargun and the ST9 are not the same Pistol, according to the SARUSA website. Products list

The SAR9 is 9mm only and the ST9 can be had in 9mm, .40, and .45 ACP on the same Frame.

I’m a little confused. The products list you linked to doesn’t mention the Sargun. It does show the Sar9, as you mention, showing that it is different from the ST9 (which it very much is).

The ST9 pictured in the link looks identical to the Sargun (on the outside, anyway).

I’m wondering if the original Sargun was meant for 9mm only, and Sar later decided to make a ‘triple threat,’ caliber wise, out of the Sargun, and adding a name change to ST9?

Sorry for my previous post!:( I was obviously confused. :hand44:

Side by side comparison:

EAA imported SARGUN

SAR USA imported ST9

I would say that these are pretty much the same, just imported by different companies. Availability of the ST9 is in question, as I'm not seeing any for sale as yet.
Note that the current SAR USA catalog shows the .45 ACP version named the ST45 and no mention of an ST40. Methinks the .40 version has been shelved.
CDNN has a sale on the 9mm SARGUN, if you are at all interested. https://www.cdnnsports.com/eaa-sargun-9mm.html#.WnynRXxryUk

I'm rather liking the SAR 9 and prefer caliber specific designs:

The Sargun and the ST9 are the same. EAA imported the ST9 under the name Sargun. I believe Sar is importing the guns on their own now, without EAA under the actual model names.
Went to a gun show today and actually saw a Sar ST9! It had a stainless slide. Nice to be able to hold it in the hand - it felt like a very good fit for me. However, the vendor wanted $389 for it, and it had the ST9 name on it. I prefer the 'cooler' name, 'Sargun'! Heh, heh..., as well as the $279 price CDNN had it for. Will give a range report, probably late next week.
Ok I own the gun it’s nice needs spicer ammo than most guns I would say 125 or higher would be a good fit for it to perfectly perform as for holsters its tuff with me being a lefty and want to carry inside the pants 🤦🏽. As for optics it’s not too bad may need to tap just one more hole I have the st9/SS ve look at it on the website guess it’s just a appearance package tho also today being may 6th 2021 I bought it bout a month ago it was basically 600$ man o man and the ammo shortage is death but I will manage anyone else has more to share ?
