I'm looking at a Rossi 461 that is posted on a local classified board. Guy has it listed for $325 and it comes with 50 rounds of ammo and a basic nylon holster. Will grips for the Taurus 85 fit? Its hard to tell by the pics since its a longer 3 finger grip instead of a short 2 finger boot size grip.

I say no.

FWIW: I am a huuuuge M85 fan who shot a 461 for the first time last year.

I loved the Rossi and can't wait to join the club.

One more question. Does the newer Rossi models have ten transfer bar like Taurus, or do they have a firing pin on the hammer?

The firing pin is on the hammer, they use a hammer block.
Completely different from the Taurus system, it's more "old school" in design, but that's not a bad thing in my opinion.

Ok thanks. I think I missed the boat on this one, but will keep my eyes open for others. My buddy has a Rossi 38 snub he said his father gave him in 1986, and I noticed it had the firing pin on the hammer, which is why I asked.

The grips ARE NOT interchangeable.

Please pardon the tread drift. But does anyone know if any wood Rossi grips would fit the 461? Does the 461 have a grip frame like a Rossi 88. I've never had a chance to see a 461 without the rubber grips on.
