Ammo:
*Federal vs Brown Bear vs Wolf vs Tula*

"Shooters have been debating the cost/benefit of shooting steel-cased/bimetal-jacked ammunition verses traditional (and more expensive) brass cased and copper jacketed ammunition. My good friend Andrew Tuohy has conducted an epic torture test to see how the more expensive brass-cased ammunition compares with cheaper steel-cased ammunition. It turns out that brass cased ammunition is a lot better, more than I thought it was, but over 10,000 even with two barrel changes the steel still works out to be ~15% cheaper. His summery is in the video below, but you should read his entire exhaustive writeup, including barrel cut-away photos."

naw, say it aint so. EVERYONE "knows" that AR-15's don't last more than a VERY few thousand rds, malfunction with every shot, etc. :) Funny, all the yotes and feral dogs that I have hit with 60 gr Nosler Partition softpoints have had real problems doing what ALL the guys shot with 223 ball in wars seem able to do (ie, carry on as if bitten by a mosquito). In fact, all of them were knocked for a loop and couldn't get up again. Strange, since the 223 is so "feeble", right?

I bet if they used a gas piston they would have ran flawlessly... I'm kidding of course.

I see that all of the weapons had chrome-lined bores and chambers. I would expect stuck cases at much lower round counts using the steel-cased Russian ammo in a weapon that wasn't chrome-lined.
