I haven't handled one in person. All the dealers list it as a Talo special edition. If you are interested, you may look at these distributers....their prices are a bit better than Impactguns.

Davidson' may or may not have a better price. Depends on what your local dealer prices them at. Mine listed this gun at $405.

What is a TALO special edition anyway?

Think I could swap out that fiber optic thing for a real front sight?

Talo Inc. specializes in customizing guns for manufacturers. They do it for about everyone in the industry. Not really sure what makes this Taurus 44 that speical except, here you go impulsive7, those sights you don't like!!

Actually, what I find interesting about this gun is that, according to the imfamous Taurus website, it doesn't exist! It's not listed under any catagory and when you run the model number, 2-440029, in search it comes up "no model found". I don't know if this is an exclusive run just for Talo or if these things have been laying in a dark, forgotten back room at the factory and have just been re-discovered. What ever the case may be, they seem to be a recent introduction just showing up in the past few months. Anyone with more insight please chime in. I'm curious about the history of this model.
