I guess I should know this, but does your 92 come with sling swivles installed, or do you have to install them yourself? I have a fairly budget nylon sling on my muzzleloader, so I will look up the brand and post it tommorow. It has served me well in the field so far....

nope, no swivels from the factory.

i installed a nice 1 1/4" leather stap sling this year for my wife to carry the '92. i used an Uncle Mike's clamp on stud at the front that clamps onto the mag tube, problem is, it moves and i cant get it to clamp tight enough. i even used some blue lock-tite between the tube and the clamp like the directions suggest.

Stickbow, that guys stuff is awesome. If I didn't have my 92 stock engraved I'd order one of those. The hardest part would be pickin one out.

I went with the Uncle Mikes front clamp on and "linded" the tube clamp w feeler gauge, snug as a bug and drilled and installed the rear loop. I put on my nylon sling off of my Mini 14. It carries well but it's a '92, gonna have to get a leather one for it.
