The gun club I belong to has several buses scheduled to go there. With moving I just couldn't fit it in otherwise I would have gone. I have never attended anything like that.
Pmrpc?

Too far for me but I hope they draw a huge crowd. I'll be there in spirit!
They certainly have an impressive list of speakers lined up for the rally. I will have to take a by due to recent heart surgery but, perhaps next year. Hope the event is very successful!
Well, i am friggin' embarrassed for my gun club. 3000+ members and 23, yes 23, could find the time or $25 to take a bus ride (in a very fine bus i might add) to Tallahassee for the day on saturday to attend a very good rally and listen to a fine slate of speakers
(including Hichcok45).
I'm not proud of the rest of the shooting community in florida either. the turnout was PATHETIC. Maybe they didn't advertise correctly, i only knew due to an email from my club, i don't know. But it was embarrassing meeting with and talking to the speakers and knowing they had traveled long distances and took time to come speak to such a small turnout.

UH-HUH and IF the election turnout is similar then change may be coming for the worse, then all these people can sit around a B---- about it for a couple of years.
I bring it up often at our Neighborhood Monthly breakfast to a lot of our good old ******* boys that are suppose to be 2 nd amendment supporters but can't seem to get to the voting booth .

That is sad to hear. But I think I'm not surprised. Often times we are our own worst enemy. We need to be making a lot more noise to be able to compete against the antis. What would you estimate to be the turn out?

somewhere in the 500 range.

Wow that is rather pathetic! There should have been a minimum of 5,000. Heck mommies against guns can do better than that.
Having those rallies in Tallahassee, is like having one in Laredo, Tx. for Tx. folk.
Common sense would say to have them in Orlando.
It would have been a 500 mile, one way road trip for me to attend.

Wish I could go, I will be in the process of moving some on that weekend in the Orlando area.
that was suggested during discussion on the return bus ride. no reason to be in tallahasssee if not meeting with legislators
