My 856 does not have the Taurus lock system. Has Taurus dropped this feature on all their revolvers, or just some of them, or just the 856?

I've fired 50 rounds through my 856 and it's loosened up some. SA tripper pull now is a tad over 4 pounds. The cylinder spins a bit more freely. I believe I'm going to really like this revolver, once it's disassembled, cleaned and re-lubed. I found a spring kit for models 85 and 605 in my spares. Unfortunately, I must have already used the 6 1/2 lb. trigger return spring. I suppose the kit will work for the 856?

My new 605 didn't have the lock either. Haven't done springs on a 856 yet, but I bet they will work. Last spring job I did on a 605, I had to cut 2 coils off the trigger spring to get it to compress enough to put my spring holder back through the strut hole.

All of the new Taurus models have dropped the locking feature. They also no longer have a lifetime warranty.
