It was really rainy and nasty outside this morning, so I decided to take a day of vacation and just putter around in the shop. I ran across some Teak wood the other day standing in the corner of my shop. I'd forgotten I had it, so it was nice to see it again. The friend that gave it to me a couple of years ago said it came from the bed structure of an old 1940's pickup truck. You old timer's I know will remember stake-bed trucks. So, this wood is about 70 plus years old and quite the challenge to make grips from. But here they are for your viewing pleasure...

Very nice choice. Knowing nothing about wood as a young man and now perhaps even less, it amazed me how it was used on ships, yachts, etc due to its resistance to a salt water environment if washed down daily with fresh water.
