Ok Hello everyone. Im new to this stuff and just picked up a 9mm 24/7. I'm wondering what ammo to use. I found the Remington UMC for a decent price. Its 9mm luger with 115 grain. Is this ammo good for this gun. Its a pretty good deal at about 9 bucks for 50 bullets or 50 bucks for 250.
Thanks

Welcome to the forums and UMC is good ammo. There are others as well. Winchester White box at Walmart or other stores works well. So do Wolf, Silver Bear/Brown Bear (Russian ammo) work well through Taurus pistols.

Have some heavy reading here, but there's alot of decent info in these links.

Believe it or not this is just a small portion of what can be found during searches here. :)

Brought the A game as this is all highly important. Granted there's a lot to go through, but then for moral, ethical, and common sense reasons, your safety and that of others deems this necessary.

For practice I use magtech 115 fmc. It is very accurate and well priced. Wolf is the cheapest ammo you can get and shoots well through the 24/7 but it does leave a big mess in your gun at the end. Also shot PMC 115 fmj and American Eagle 115 fmj all worked well but magtech seemed to be more accurate and a good price.
I haven't shot any hollow points through it yet but just ordered some gardian gold 124 HP. Looking forward to that.
Welcome to the forum. Hope you enjoy your 24/7 as much as I do. ;D

My 9mm 24/7 Pro has fed and fired everything I've put in it! FMJ's, JHP's, Plated Flat Pointed Reloads, and the Kitchen Sink won't fit in the magazine. LOL!

I'll also second Weaponize's opinions on 9mm Ammo. Stock up on Magtech if you can find it, but the other stuff will do!

Its funny though the remingtons still seem the cheapest for 9.99 for 50 rounds.

Get on the mailing lists from all the sporting goods places, you can get email copy's of specials & flyers. Ammo is in the ones I get from Dicks, and a couple others. That is how I bought 1500 rd 115 for 6.89 per 50.

As the others have noted, Remington is good fodder.
I have used it in the past but primarily use CCI/Blazer aluminum anymore and Winchester White Box to a lesser extent.

Are you going to press your 24/7 into the role of self-defense also if needed? If so you may want to look into Speer Gold Dots, Federal Hydrashoks, Winchester SXT or any of the other premium JHCs for defense.

Best Wishes

Yesterday I bought 300rds of winchester 9mm target rounds for like $18 per 100, at walmart. Not the greatest of ammo but it works well at the range.

Well can any of you guys comment. I've found that I can buy 20 boxes for 133 bucks of the PMC ammo. Its Bronze FMJ 115 grain brass case. How do these compare to the UMCs that I pick up at Bass Pro for 9.99

If that was 50 rd boxes, sounds pretty good. I have nto used that particular one, but the lowest price I got was $6.98 per 50, but that is long gone now.
