Anticipating a dispute with the local judge concerning my qualifications to obtain a concealed carry permit, I'm trying to get my ducks lined up. In a nutshell, I've been told they probably will NOT accept my DD-214 as proof of training...despite the law clearly saying it's an acceptable proof.

Anyway, I'm trying to find what someone who provides a concealed carry class in Virginia must teach in order for the class to be acceptable. I've searched high and low on the web, asked on several websites, and yet no one can seem to tell me where to find the regulations. I keep getting people telling me what it takes to get the permit...not what the class must consist of.

Amazing.

So, let's say I want to offer a concealed carry course in Virginia. Where do I find what my class must consist of?

Anyone?

Thanks!

You may also try to contact a field rep. in your state for a NRA approved Handgun Safety class at:

http://www.nrahq.org/fieldreps/

In NY you're required to take a NRA certified handgun safety class as one of the many requirements to getting a handgun license. At the end you get a NRA certificate that you've completed the course. I think the course cost about $35.
