Not sure if this is new to you but it was new to me when I saw it.

The designers of the Scorpion Evo 3 have teased a new pistol on their Facebook page. The Alien pistol from Laugo Arms

Be sure to watch the video on the bottom of that page to see them shoot it.

An interesting design with the barrel on the bottom. I don't care so much about the sight change over.
Alien Pistol From Laugo Arms

.

A pistol that makes you go "Hmmmm".
It's unique and interesting.
I'm not too sure what to think about it yet.
I like the barrel and sights that don't move.
Kind of reminds me of a really big Buckmark.

Looks like all the latest whiz-bang engineering went into it. I couldn't tell what caliber, since it is blow back I assume 380 ish or even maybe 9mm. Unless the Turks are making it, will probably sell for a premium price.

It's delayed blow back like the HK P7 or Walther CCP. So 9mm would make sense. They most likely put the gas chamber and piston on top. That would also dissipate the heat better and keep it away from the shooter's hand.

I like it. I wouldn’t buy one for anything but to be a toy though. I do think it has great potential in the accuracy dept. and I would not buy it over a revolver. I like the cz styling and controls, aside from that it’s just an interesting and odd design.

Has anyone mentioned yet that it's delayed blowback, just like a Hi-Point?

I agree it's an interesting design/engineering concept but I'll reserve judgement until after the first three or four recalls.

Looks like something that will take the competition pistol market by storm. Fixed barrel with fixed sights, or fixed red dot? Yeah, I can see where the demand will be coming from, and it will be priced accordingly.

Laugo Arms is a Czech company, as far as I can tell, so I guess it will be made there. Yet another pistol on the market. Going to have a lot of competition to overcome.

Interesting, but likely something I can live without. :D
They may be on to something if they put a hammer on it

Was going to say just about the same thing, looking at several of the features on it, not the least of which is the top sight rail you can swap that does not move with the slide, so optical sights will stay true better, it just screams race gun to me.

I like it, but i doubt very much i would like it at the price it likely is going to be

Very interesting; I'd like to shoot it, and I'll be prepared to be impressed. Very interesting design.

I like it!
I want one!
But I bet it's going to be expensive,
and I'm a cheap bastard,
so I probably won't be getting it.

It reminds me a bit of the FN Five-Seven and the Kel-Tec PMR-30 in terms of aesthetics. I wonder what it's chambered in, probably .380 ACP, but you never know.

At any rate, it looks to be the latest hype pistol, which seldom ever turns out to be as impressive nor effective as marketing makes it out to be. Still, it might actually be good, only time will tell.

On a side note, whenever I hear/see "Alien Pistol" my mind always jumps to the H&K VP-70, since that's what the Colonial Marines carried in ALIENS or otherwise something that actually looks alien/advanced, something fictional like the Dr. Grordbort weapons by Weta Workshop, namely the Righteous Bison
