So I clicked the link in the OP and when the Taurus web site opened I got this message:

Looks legit but when I downloaded the font pack the file wouldn't run. Searched the font name and found this:

https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/vi...t-font-wasnt-found-and-chrome-font-pack-guide

So according to the explanation above it seems the Taurus web site may have been hacked. And if you don't have good anti-virus software running (I have Norton), you may get infected.

And I found I can't just delete the files. Now I'm following these instructions:

https://www.pcrisk.com/removal-guides/11048-the-hoeflertext-font-wasnt-found-scam

Hope they work.

Me, too.
Well, the good news is that all those years I spent as a command-line maven working MS/DOS and Novell Netware weren't in vain. In order to remove the file I had to boot into Safe Mode-Command Prompt, navigate to the directory (DOS had directories, Windows has folders) where the file was located and delete it, all via Command.com commands. I tried to rename it but could not but I was able to delete it.
No problems here but I'm using IE.
It's a shame they ruined a nice gun with that black primer finish.
To my knowledge Taurus never stopped making the 82 just changed the cosmetics. I do know they no longer carry the stainless model

There is a REAL man among us. Good work.

I run Linux. Very little chance of catching anything. Still careful though. I saw that message and
backed out.

All the Best,
D. White
Just got this, thanks to Norton again for the block. Gun Firearm Trigger Text Font

I don't believe I got a bug. I run Firefox. I haven't noticed anything funky with the machine.
Oh, and I have an old S&W Model 10 that's a safe queen. The 82 doesn't really interest me.
