Got a PT145 yesterday afternoon and sent about 50 rounds down range after I got home.

It was flawless in function.

I may, however, need to do some adjustment on the sights. I plan on getting more familiar with the gun before I do anything.

Does someone know if you just use an allen wrench to loosen the rear sight for windage adjustment? That appears to be the case, but I always like to appeal to experience when I can.

Thanks . . .

Flyer,

I don't have the gun in front of me right now (I'm at work), but I'm not certain what you are referring to as being different sizes. Is there not just one set screw on top of the rear sight? Or do you mean that the set screws for the front and rear sight take different sized allen wrenches?

It seems to me that the procedure would be to loosen the rear sight set screw (with an allen wrench), move the sight as required, then retighten the set screw.

Was the difficulty you experienced in loosening the set screw or in actually moving the sight after the screw was loosened?

Sorry for my confusion, but I would rather ask too many questions than unnecessarily foul something up on my brand new gun.

Thanks,
