Adjustable site not working on my PD Poly

Is there an easy fix for an adjustable site that isn't adjusting? I have a new Judge Public Defender Poly and the rear site is not adjusting. The screw moves in or out easy enough but the site piece doesn't move. I would REALLY like to avoid sending it in as I would actually like to enjoy the gun this summer and having it sit at Taurus for 3 months doesn't sound like fun.

Any advice or help is GREATLY appreciated.

thanks!

You sure it's adjustable? The catalog lists it as a fixed sight....

It is fixed on the full size, the magnum, and the steel public defender. It is windage adjustable on the Poly (only). It has the same setup as the other poly revolvers (like the 605 poly).

And for William, who needs pics to hopefully see an internal mechanical problem using external images, here are some of my PD Poly...

Can't really tell anything from the pics, but I have never had very good luck on any sights that are adjustable, Taurus or other brands.
Is that the 2 screw adjustable rear sight?

No, it is the 1 screw...
The screw is supposed to make the sight move. So if the screw is moving in and out, then of couse the sight will not move.
Will the screw come all the way out?
Was worried about doing that... didn't know if it would cause damage or be difficult/impossible to get back in...
I guess I will just have to bite the bullet and contact Taurus... (shudders)
this is my EDC...
maybe SP101 time and abandon the cause. :(
An exploded view of how the mechanism fits together and functions would be a good place to start:

It would appear to me that the sight operates on spring tension on one side of the tab....while the screw adjusts it by moving in or out of the threaded hole on the other side...

My GUESS is....that the spring is jammed somehow and needs to either be replaced or freed-up in its recess. Either way, it looks like a simple fix.

If I decide to keep it, I will dive in, I guess. I have decided that contacting Taurus is a lost cause and even if I did ever get through, I wouldn't send the gun in for 6 weeks while they think about getting around to taking care of it. I may just sell it. It costs so dang much to shoot (even though it is SO fun) that I can't get the range time I want or need.

You can only adjust left and right. Not up and down. If the screw is stuck....call Taurus.
