Does anyone know whether the 85 and 856 hammers are the same part (i.e., functionally interchangeable)? Or is there some geometry difference with a slightly larger cylinder on the 856 that makes the hammer need to be longer?

I'm not the greatest on the revolvers but from what I believe that 85 is a 5-round and the 856 is a six-round , so that would explain the larger cylinder as far as a hammer a longer Hammer might be needed for a larger cylinder
