What bullets are you using to reload 38 super? are they the same as 9mm? my manual list the both as the same Diameter

Yes the 38 Superb uses the same bullet as the 9mm and 380. I cast and shoot all weights in my 38 Sups, from 95 grain up to 147.

I use 124 grain bullets in mine.

Technically no, .38 super is .356 dia. That said some of the barrel manufacturers have gone to .355 dia. on the super barrels.

plinking rounds are 130 gr Montana golds ( have way too many of them) and SD/PD 147gr XTPs. The 147's really come into their own in the 38 super as opposed to the 9mm.

Talk about technical, out of my eleven 9mils and 380s, less than half of the barrels mic'd to .355". Most require .356" bullets, and some require .357"-.358". Oddly enough my two 38 Sups are right at .355".
