Yes the 38 Superb uses the same bullet as the 9mm and 380. I cast and shoot all weights in my 38 Sups, from 95 grain up to 147.

Technically no, .38 super is .356 dia. That said some of the barrel manufacturers have gone to .355 dia. on the super barrels.

plinking rounds are 130 gr Montana golds ( have way too many of them) and SD/PD 147gr XTPs. The 147's really come into their own in the 38 super as opposed to the 9mm.

I'm sure our local curmudgeon, of all things odd caliber, will be along shortly to help us out.

Someone ring the fire bell!

Talk about technical, out of my eleven 9mils and 380s, less than half of the barrels mic'd to .355". Most require .356" bullets, and some require .357"-.358". Oddly enough my two 38 Sups are right at .355".

I've long considered a 38 Super. Seems like it would be fun on the reloading bench.
