Z means it was made an 06 I would say 3rd gen, not 100% sure but it was made in 06.
2nd generation or 3 rd???
Two weeks ago, I purchased a Millennium 140. One side of the slide says Millennium, and the other side says PT 140 Pro. Second letter of serial # is Z, but there is No rail on the receiver, just two small oval dimples above the trigger guard.

Taurus' website has a section that if you put in the serial number it will give you when it was made and other data. Click on Customer Care on the left hand column. Then click on "Help Me Find My Model". Then enter the serial number on the pistol and they will do the rest.
I went to the website, and put in my serial #. Got a message that said no information available. So much for that!
Is it doa or sa/da? and what sights does it have?
It did the same thing for me also.. But if you just call the 1800 number they offer you get someone who can tell you.. If is DAO, then it is 2nd generation.
