I've been shooting Walmart white box 165 gr. and have had no problems.

I have access to some 180 gr. HSM cheap. I have used HSM in several other calibers and have had no problems shooting or reloading it.

So my question is has anybody used 180 grain in their 24/7 Pro?

And what loads have been worked up with success?

Thank you

Here's one I use = Power Pistol @ 7.2 w/180gr XTP
some lighter bullet loads I use are Power Pistol @ 8.5 w/ 155gr Gold Dot
and 135gr Nosler on top of 12.2gr of Blue Dot or 12.0 Longshot. Just thought I'd put the lighter bullets in FYI

I know of none. A friend of mine uses 200gr bullets exclusively. Obviously I like small fast bullets.

Try taking a look at this article http://www.greent.com/40Page/ammo/40/180gr.htm which basically is prophetic. When I began shooting my .40 S&W last year everything was loaded with 180 Gr... now it is customary to find those same load using the 165 Gr bullets.

I hope your friend is carefully tayloring his loads with the 200 gr bullets.

I too use power pistol for 180gn loads in 40SW. 7.0 to 7.2 grains. Lots of muzzle flash! I also like IMR 800X for my 180gn loads too. 6.8 to 6.9 grains. 1.125" overall length works just fine. Power pistol meters very well since is a fine flake. 800X is large flake powder.
