I have a Taurus 24/7 G2 .40 cal. The recalls & discontinuation have made it difficult to find a magazine for it. Anybody have one or know where I could get one?

I'm pretty sure the 24/7 G2 .40 was not recalled. The magazines seem to pop up on GunBroker every GREAT once in a while, so I'd check there on a regular basis. They are one of the more elusive magazines to be had.
I found these on GunBroker.com FWIW. I'm not steeped in Taurus lore especially WRT which magazines fit & function in which firearm.

You can also seek on eBay. Be aware eBay requires magazine listing to 10 rounds capacity r less as their system functions on California laws. Occasionally there are things that pop up from time to time . . .

I don't think the 24/7 magazines are compatible with the 24/7 G2(c) but that is just a foggy memory. I'm sure that info is all here on the board somewhere with a few creative searches.
24/7
24/7 G2
G2
Three different guns. G2 accepts 24/7 mags. They are different from the 24/7 G2.
I can find 24/7 G2 9mm, but not .40 cal. Haven't been able to find out if they would work or not.

Adding to the confusion are the different variations of each. Compact mags don't work in full size pistols. Some say compact. Some just have the "C". & everyone refers to them differently. I found a listing for a full size G2C (the C is for compact)

For one thing I don't understand why you chose to inject the letter "C" in the information provided by the OEM - no "C" in that post. I proceeded based on the information exactly as provided by the OP.

These two listings in my prior post this thread are explicitly say these fit a Taurus 24/7 G2 40 S&W, FWIW. Right in the OEM print packaging in the photosin those listings, and OEM SKU #'s are available to view right along with the application listing info for the OP.

I didn't dig into other particular details in these listings because, to begin with,

I don't own a PT 24/7 C 40 S&W

and

I'm no expert WRT Taurus magazines (as already mentioned in my prior post this thread.

IME how much Sellers on eBay & GunBroker.com really know about in terms of details WRT the item(s) of fit and function for said listed item(s). Such lack of knowledge can be to buyer's benefit or seller's benefit. I think it's caveat emptor for potential buyers to communicate with sellers around the key details of the item(s) that any individual buyer is interested in such item(s). It could be none of the item links I posted will have the appropriate fit and function that causes interest in a buyer; substitute "some" or "all" for "none" to explore all three degrees of freedom logically presented.

I rarely post about items I don't own but after my experience finding PT 24/7 40 S&W G1 15 round magazines for my current Taurus G2C I figured I'd try to help out. There are at least two OEM PT 24/7 Gen 1 40 S&W magazine floorplates that were manufactured, I've only found one aftermarket properly fitting magazine sleeve that only provides proper fit and function in a current generation G2C 40 S&W. So with my experience in how much details and intercompatibility I reckoned I'd place a few lnks that might be fruitful for the OP, especially the one citing for a PT 24/7 C or the OP to pursue further details, or not, at the OP's discretion. I'm well aware I don't own a PT 24/7 of any type nor any PT 24/7 C magazines to cross check dimensions and cut locations to verify if any of these to know if any fit precisely what the OP is searching for. But if it doesn't perk up the OP's interested very little loss to me.

The 20 round magazine is most likley not OEM, and my no longer 25 years old eyes se "PT 24/7 OSS" best I can tell in photo 2 of2. But being aftermarket it might fit other models as well. But I know I won't be the one ferreting out details on any of these options, that's up to the OP depending on interest level.

Really appreciate the suggestions, but none of these listings will fit the 24/7 G2. I had previously searched all of the listings I could find & didn't find the appropriate magazine. Realizing now that it will be more difficult than I thought. Kind of hoping that somebody that has one will see the post.
I only bought this pistol for parts to repair another pistol. Recieved this used pistol with a 24/7 40cal magazine in it. It fits, but is a few mm shorter & has a different latch mechanism. Ended up not needing the parts, so I have a perfectly good pistol without a magazine.

I just put the (c) in there to refer to both the 24/7 G2 and 24/7 G2C. I wasn't trying to change the OP's message, just referring to both the G2 and G2C models.

Neither of those links appear to be for a G2 magazine. I sure don't see G2 anywhere in the listing or the photo. I know the 24/7 .45 magazines are not compatible with the 24/7 G2 (or G2C) .45 magazines and my recollection is that the .40 caliber 24/7's are also not compatible with the 24/7 G2 (or G2C). Typically, the 24/7 magazines have been much easier to come by than the 24/7 G2 magazines.
I give up. This why I generally avoid commenting on equipment I don't own regardless how useful or inert the info I try to post up may be to the poster seeking something difficult to find. I found four PT 24/7 G1 15 round capacity for my current production G2C 40 S&W byself and would've appreciated any links I would've received from forum members in my search. I didn't, don't, and don't ever expect toown a PT 24/7 G1 40 S&W but I could and shared what I'd found here.

I can only say I don't own anything the OP is looking forand go back to (mostly) minding my own business based solely on firsthand knowledge and experience. Taurus made too many magazinelack of compatible 40 S&W magazines over the years and going by available Taurus SKU numbers is continuing that tradition between the current G2C 40 S&W and their new G3C 40 S&W handguns. I consider it a nearmiracle the PT 24/7 G1 magazines need at most an aftermarket magazine sleeve to fit and function in my current production G2C. I'll have a hard time believing that was ever really planned by anyone involved in designing those handguns.

Best of luck OP.

Appreciate the help,but... Brent Force Security is the 1st thing that comes up when you search for almost anything gun related & is a scam.
