Heard a rumor of this elsewhere but didn't see any info here. A friend just bought a used PT140 (I think gen 3) but has big hands and could use a little longer grip area.
So, did the Gunsmith tell you what the problem was? I assume you got it out? Any dmage to the weapon?sargedog said:I have the 24/7 .40 and the pt-140 mill pro and I dont know if it was a factory problem but my friend put the 24/7 .40 in the pt-140 and it shot fine but the mag would not release when it was empty. I had not had any problems with the pt140 until this happened. I had to take it to a gunsmith
Thanks thats good to know. I just bought one 15 round mag and a spacer from Taurus. I hope they actually send them to me..lol.. I have big hands, and no money. SO this gun has to last me a while till I can buy something that fits me better. Thanks for the info.Dennis2477 said:I have purchased two 15 round 24/7 mags for my PT-140 and both of them work with no problems. I got them both on gunbroker.com. Yes, they stick out a little further than the 10 round mag, but they lock in and feed correctly, they both lock the slide open on the last round and fall free when I press the mag release. I like the way they make extra room for my pinkie to rest on. Got them used from different people, fairly cheap, about $15.00 each plus shipping. They are out there, but they can be hard to find. Now all I have to do is buy the spacers to fill the gap from Taurus.
