My son's doe taken this year with his early Christmas present I built for him. She weighed 140#. 63 yards neck shot. She knew he was there and wouldn't show anything behind her neck. His patience failed but his aim was true*

New frontier lower
Faxon 16" barrel

UTG free float quad rail

Round was a hand loaded 55 grain Speer soft point
With a charge of of 20 grains of H4198.

I love stories like this that fly in the face of the .223 can't take a deer naysayers.
