I've seen two OSS all black .45 ACP in gun shops this weekend.

The first was, yesterday, in Columbus, OH at L.E.P.D. gun shop and range at 999 Bethel road. $409

The second is in Canton, OH at the Fin Feather Fur just this morning at 4080 Belden Village St. $360

If I saw one I would offer $200 after explaining to them that is all they are worth since they can't be fixed if broken. For $200 I would get one in .45acp.

Most likely then you'd leave the shop without one. Mine are worth more than $200 a piece and since I'm a machinist by trade, I cannot find anything I couldn't fix, machine, or replace.

I assume a good gunsmith could do the same.

Normally there are 2 things that determine the price of an item!!!
1) how rabid a person(s) are to have it, you see this in new Christmas toys at unheard of prices.
2) what the market will bear as to what people will pay for it.
around here from what I see currently the chances of selling a Taurus 24/7 for the prices listed are well, like seeing a snowball in a hell storm here.
but like real estate its a lot about location, and of course how unaware that the buyer is to market prices.

I see one in my Gun Vault, every time I open it!

Taurus 24/7 OSS DS .45 w/Hogue Slip On Grip

I still shoot this 24/7 OSS on occasion, but my main .45 ACP workhorses tend to be my .45 Witnesses or my CD/Citadel 1911.
To me, my .45 24/7 OSS is worth way more than $200, and will be staying in my possession.

Those of us who aren't machinists would do better with a pistol we can buy parts for. Even a machinist might rather do machining that makes him some money.:D
