Welcome to the best forum on the web. I have owned several Judges, but never tried the Raging Judge. I guarantee you will have way too much fun. Give us a range report when you have a chance.
Just so you know, Sarge, what a travesty that bottom pic I posted truly is, that butchered monstrosity started life as a Shiloh Sharps in .50-140.
About the only things salvageable on the whole thing are the action and the fore end (which are also the only things they left alone).
The heavy contour octagonal barrel (looks to have been 1" across the flats originally) looks like a chair maker's lathe experiment- where the flats haven't been fluted, the butt stock as a very bad bas relief carving of muskoxen (?) on one side and an even worse caribou on the other that they colored in just so you can see every gory detail- not to mention the poorly fitted 1" recoil pad.
The Tasco 3x9x40 with the bikini cover is just icing on the cake. They did at least use the "fancy" rings- the ones with the machine done 'scroll work' on the sides. After all, it was- once- about a $3000 custom rifle that somebody waited about 2 years to get.
