Please Build a Premium Quality G2C!

The G2C is such a great gun as it is but I would like to see Taurus build a Custom Shop/Performance Center version of this gun. Not just with cosmetic improvements or fancy sights but truly increase the quality and the performance of the pistol. I have no complaints about the base model as it is but I can't help but think that Taurus could really make some significant performance improvements to that pistol and still sell it at a price that would really get people's attention.

If it's a great gun at $200.00 can you imagine what it might be like with another $150.00 to $200.00 worth of improvements.

I hope that they will do it soon.

They actually were contemplating a Custom Shop some 8 years ago to produce tuned PT 1911's and PT 92's as well as selling components. That was while they were under the command of Mark Kresser. Mark was fired from the company, most probably due to internal political reasons. The customer service level was the best in decades while he worked there.

Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom in Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States. A military force, at the command of Congress, can execute no laws, but such as the people perceive to be just and constitutional; for they will possess the power, and jealousy will instantly inspire the inclination, to resist the execution of a law which appears to them unjust and oppressive. - Noah Webster

I don't know that the G2c is the kind of weapon I'd want to spend extra money on. It's a bargain as it is, a work horse for concealed carry and self defense. I don't see it as a competition piece.

You should probably write Taurus and explain to them what
you would like them to do.
I don't know about anyone else in here but Taurus doesn't even
know who I am and I certainly can't build any handgun by myself.
However it would probably be nice if they increased the quality and
performance of the products they are making now before they
venture off on a new endeavor.

I think I would like to see Taurus work out a few more of the customer service and repair facility problems before they venture into the world of custom firearms.

Taurus has a target buyer and doubt they will strive for more than that. BTW I purchased my PT-111 Millennium pro for $350.00.

If Taurus dumped more custom features into the G2C it would naturally increase the price significantly, which would put it within striking distance, price-wise, of some of the more "acceptable" brands of pistol that come with many of these customized features. It would make an interesting special order product, though, if they could keep the price reasonable.
