Now I thought Rossi had a lever gun years ago? Perhaps I'm thinking of something else?

I have had a Henry for a few years......and recently Agatha bought 2 Henry rifles with the TRUMP 2020 in the serial number. They were immediately wrapped up and put in the safe.

A rossi lever in 22 would be fun for a decent price. If the concern is about zamak or steel, there's always the option of melting down all that brass scrap into a single ingot that's slightly larger than receiver sized and machine your own.
I can see the Rossi levers going for about 249-279 and maybe as low as 229 on sale.

Rossi may not have had one under their brand but Taurus had the M62LAR which I think was made by Rossi for Taurus. These leverguns came out at the same time as the Taurus M62 pump action 22 and the Taurus Thunderbolt pump action 45LC rifle.

I’ve seen a couple of pictures and there are two large screwheads on the lower side of the receiver which tells me it may not be a true model-92 but rather like a Henry with a slip-on receiver clamshell.

There's a couple of videos out by Boomstick 779 and it appears the receiver is not steel, but has what may be a steel shroud. Lever, trigger, barrel, are steel and the barrel bands may be plastic/polymer. In one video he compared the Rossi to a Henry, a Chiappa, and a Mossberg. They all looked very similar in design.

If they can be had for under $250 I might get one, I already have their RS22 and RB22 and they are fine shooters.
