Cool Ideal (Well almost) Grips for the 3" 856 Defender.

OK, walk with me. I want a 3" 856. I love the fact that it will handle the 38 Spcl +P Defensive cartridges. I don't love the recoil of small revolvers with small grips with exposed back straps and +P or Magnum Loads. All the Defenders are exposed back strap (Except the VZ grips which are hard). 856 grips are too short for a 3" barrel fighting revolver. 85 rubber boot grips are too short too but cover the back strap. So what do you do? Get a set of full length model 85 rubber grips that cover the back strap. Problem? Currently only available in pink......I have one set and ordered a few more for the future. They can be dyed BTW.....Thought I would share that little tid bit with the group....

It may be pink, but will be comfortable. I like the old Uncle Mike's 59008, but they are hard to find.

Those used to be available in grey, same as the soft rubber boot grip that used to come on Taurus small frame guns.

They are certainly a good idea. Are they soft rubber like the pink ones?

Those are great grips! A cleaning tip for everyone - use Simple Green to easily clean the pink grips!

PS I want a 3" M856, too - but I'd like to see one and hold one before I order one! Still haven't seen one in the "wild" yet!

"Ovedrmolded rubber". Not as squishy as the original rubber Taurus boot grip, or Hogue's rubber grips.

I love mine. It actually displaced the Uncle Mike's combat grip on mine.
