    New Taurus M44

Last night I broke down and ordered a new Taurus M44 with the 4" ported barrel. I also found a place with a decent price on 44spl and ordered 250 rounds. I'll eventually start reloading for it. It's obviously too big for concealed carry lol, but I would like to get some kind of chest holster or bag for it.

When Leonidas was preparing to make his stand, a Persian envoy arrived. The envoy explained to Leonidas the futility of trying to resist the advance of the huge Persian army and demanded that the Spartans lay down their arms. Leonidas told Xerxes "MOLON LABE", or "Come And Get Them."

Since I ordered it last night it will take about a week or so before I even have it to take pics of.

Congrats 357Funtime, it will soon be 44 fun time. If it's anything like my new 44 Tracker, you're going to love it. You definitely want to start reloading for it as soon as you can.

When I first started shooting 44 Magnum in my Marlin I was surprised/amazed and a bit depressed at the power and recoil of the round. It's very effective for the serious things that one might have to take it to do, but not a whole lot of fun plinking or letting a new shooter fire it. I didn't want to be sorting 44 Special and 44 Magnum brass so I bought factory magnum and some Starline new brass in 44 Magnum and while searching for ways to "down load" rounds for a more pleasant recoil I found that the CAS shooters use TrailBoss propellant which was probably developed for their sport. In the Marlin it makes the rifle shoot like it's firing 38 Special and doesn't give up in accuracy. Let us know when you get set with dies ad the other supplies.

Here are some sources I've used for other brass"

Got a call from my FFL that it arrived this afternoon. I'm working, but will try to get it a bit later. If not, I'll pick it up tomorrow. Can't wait!
