    New 608

    I purchased a new 608 4" this week.
I'm quite impressed with the fit and finish.
The B/C gap is a snug .006" and it has a pretty smooth, consistent trigger pull.
There are some really good prices right now on the 608 and 44.
    I shot 100 Fiocchi 158gr .357s this afternoon without a hitch.
Hopefully my sample of one is a sign of the improving quality at Taurus.

When the 608 first came out I really wanted one. Never did find one. I stopped looking when I picked up a 7 Shot Stainless Model 66 for $250.00 at a gun show. You know one of those junk Taurus tables.

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

The 2nd amendment is not about hunting or shooting sports, it is about the citizens of this country having the means to protect themselves and the states from the tyranny, oppression, and misery of an over powering government. Modern rifles are a means for the citizens to stand up to an over powering government.

The M608 and M44 are among the best revolvers Taurus has ever made. Definite advantages over the N-frame S&W.

I'd love to see your 608 4" when you get around to posting it.

No disrespect to Jimmy A or Ifithitu, but I refuse to give photo bucket et al even a penny (or plugged nickel).

It's dirty and I'm shooting it Sunday so it's staying dirty for a while longer. This one is from '97 and yes, the 608 is a very good gun.

Back before Christmas, I decided to try to purchase 3 608s. One for each of my brothers and one for myself. Stainless with 6.5 inch barrel. My LGS was happy to oblige, and gave me what I thought was a fantastic price.

Like some of the others here, I've been impressed with the fit/finish. I'm in the middle of polishing mine. Not too difficult..just something to do.

I'll post more pictures as I finish it up.
