I've really enjoyed the three inch revolvers I have owned. They are an idea size. Most revolvers I have owned are 4" barrels, and I have had a few longer barreled revolvers, all in 38 sp or .357 mags, and then a few snubbies,

Years ago, I took a Snubbie, a 3", 4" and 6" barreled revolver to the range, and I could notice tighter groups as I moved up the longer barrels, but not much, and nothing past the 4" mark.

I do wish the 3" 856 was offered with a true birds head grip and the old style bluing or the other true bluing, can't think of what it is called but is a multilayered coloring of blueing.

Some of the grips I saw on the different variations are just plain ugly.

If those were available in a traditional blued or polished finish instead of the rattle-can coating, I'd fight you for one.

Am I the only one that saw that lower price? (may have to get my glasses checked)

Someone else commented about the prices often being wrong. They still have the weight at 0.00 so they sure could have had the price wrong and fixed it--just to mess with you!

I guess.....I don't assign any magical powers to a 3" barrel. I had one once. Eh, whatever. I am glad to see a pinned black front sight blade. That will make life easier.

No sir, I also saw the revolvers listed at sub 300 MSRP. I think they were in the 279 range if I remember right. When I went back to look again, they were priced well over what I'd give for a slightly upgraded 85.
