So, I bought this used PT-100 AF/S...A little cleaning and it shines like a mirror..now I want it to be semi-gloss black...WAY TOO MUCH FOR ME!

Sure you can have it polished, toss it under the seat in a cheap holster. Then when all scratched up, send it back for another polish. Simple.
I bought S&W Models 15 and 34 back in the 80's. Have shot the heck out of both of them. (The state police even had them in their custody for several months at one point but we won't go into that here.)
Both of those guns have their battle scars but they both shoot like the day they were new. I have got so much pleasure from them it would have been a travesty to deny myself of that.
Take that gun out and shoot it - then toss it, gently, under the seat when you are done. Take a gander at my Model 15. Don't she still look purty???
