    Dirty Harry Wannabe

I've seen this used Model 96 up close. Very clean indeed, but I've scaled back on .22 hand guns. It is what it is for $350.

Picked up a used Ruger LCRX 22LR at a gun show. Stiff but smooth trigger. Only complaint is the lack of aftermarket front fiber optic sights. The ones on Shopruger aren't compatible with this particular model.

Sight looks like a blade as with my Rossi M68. Windage adjustable maybe?

Well they ain't out there yet, bummer. I have feelers out to a couple of gun shops concerning the 942. Always include the pathfinder as an option when checking.

There have been a number of gun models put out by the gun companies at large that have not made it to market yet. Usually some time after the SHOT Show things start rolling. I've been waiting for the LGS to get or be able to get the Ruger LCP II in .22lrf, a Kel-tec P17 ( if it ever comes out- I was assured by CS that those had shipped before the SHOT Show), and the Taurus 942 3" version. Time will tell, but man, I'm getting impatient.

I've been plinking with my Rossi 511. MAN that thing is accurate! I sit on the back porch and shoot at my gong 35 yards range. I'm hitting 4 of 6 average and I KNOW the misses are my fault. It's a 6" gong. I feel that's pretty decent. Only handgun I have that I can shoot better is my red dot sighted Mark 2 Ruger....which is sorta cheating.

I'll be lookin' for that 942 in 22 mag. Sounds like a gun I could use. I do like the .22 mag for outdoors.

I did purchase the snubnose pathfinder in 22lr. It's fun to shoot. Put about 100 rounds through it and accuracy was ok. Pretty good in SA and high right in DA. Trigger was ok in both. Found myself shooting in SA more.
Taurus customer service responded to a query regarding the 942. It is not shipping yet.
