Factory (NOT Aftermarket) Taurus Revolver Grips: Available?

I'm just wondering if there is a source for factory original wooden grips for older Taurus revolvers. I hope to pick up an older Taurus revolver or two in the future, but most of what I see on the market usually have rubber grips. I just plain like the look of some of the original factory wooden grips, so if I can re-fit wooden grips, I may want to do so.

I'm aware of the aftermarket stuff that's out there, but I'm not sure of a source of OEM grips. If anyone has advice, I'd appreciate it.

The Taurus website still has some of the older grips.

Thanks a lot! Your information makes me feel confident that I'll find the grips I really want if the Taurus 689 I finally get is not fitted with the grips I'd like to have. I appreciate the link.

Awesome information! That page shows the exact style of wooden grip I want! I'm hoping it will fit the frame of a 689. I simply like that "classic" look from the '80s & '90s. I've bookmarked that page, ready to buy when I find the gun I want. Thanks!
