Everything everyone else said are great tips. Shooting double action is a whole new acquired skill. It definitely humbles you. I found it made me a better shooter all way around.
The stubby trigger will smooth out. I found about five hundred rounds of so.
Snap caps and using the dime while dry firing practice make for cheap break in.
When shooting double action you can stage the trigger for more slow fire accuracy.
If you are trying to learn to get quick shots off you will need to get your fundamentals mentioned above down solid. Learn the feel of your trigger through the pull and get in rhythm with the recoil .
5 fast double action trigger pulls are even harder to master than slow accuracy shots
Hey it's all fun at the range. What better way to spend your time. Good luck
