it would be an apples to apples comparison for the old debate .38 VS 9mm VS .357 but that is a another thread all together

Piqued my interest. Appears to be on Tracker frame for which I'm already holstered up. Would add two calibers I don't currently have, but have considered adding .38SP and .357, so would be a bonus with 9mm. I'd prefer 6.5", but would settle for a 4", both SS.

Sounds like a 617 with an un-fluted cylinder cut for moonclips.
    Great idea....

Actually, I didn't see a 6-onch. They had both a blued and stainless 3-inch. If they had a 6-inch, it had to have been in a different bank of model guns. The Taurus guy telling me about them made a point that a 3-inch Taurus was rare. I said I agreed, but that I did have a .41-Magnum with a 3-inch barrel. He didn't seem to know what to say to that, LOL.

BTW, sorry I haven't posted pictures yet. As soon as I got home, I was hit with the famous SHOT Show Gungfooey Fever. Home from work today and just barely becoming functional again.

EDIT: OK, I take back what Is aid about the 6-inch. In looking through my pictures, I did see a matte-black one. Before I thought it was just another Ranging Hunter, but it's not. I'll post pics when I get a chance to get them off my phone and convert the size down.

Here are my photos of the 692 from SHOT Show 2018, including the 6.5-inch and the 3-inch. Note the bull cylinders. These have the 9mm cylinder installed, I think.

I like that 3 inch barrel. Taurus could have a winner with the 692.
    Thanks for the photos.

Yeah, I lke "the threes" myself. I have a .41-Magnum Taurus revolver with a 3-inch barrel, too. I think it's a good length. I'm also curious about the new Taurus logo on the side. I'm not sure yet if I like it or not.

It would have been nice if they would have made one cylinder fluted and one unfluted. Then you would know at a glance what cylinder was in the gun.

I've been told by a Taurus employee that this summer will be the debut of the 692's. I don't know about ya'll, but I can hardly wait!
