    G2c trigger bar broke

Hi all, got a quick question, I've got a 9mm G2c, I bought it used, i was shooting today and the trigger bar snapped (had to completely disassemble it before I found it). I've searched all the usual parts sights I can and no one seems to have one. Taurus' website gives no option i can find other than sending it in. This is my first experience with both the company and their weapons. I cant see paying to send the weapon to them, buying the part and paying them to replace it when I can do it myself, being a military armorer and civilian gunsmith for 20 years. Does anyone know where, or if, I can order just the trigger bar or is the only option to just send it in? Sorry for the long post, just a little distracted and frustrated

Sorry to hear about your trigger problem.
The PT-111 G2 had an unlimited warranty, but Taurus changed it to a limited warranty when they came out with the G2C.
I don't think that the Taurus warranty transfers to new owners on th G2C.

Are you friends with the previous owner?
Any chance you can ask him to send it in under his name?

No, unfortunately i bought it at a pawnshop, so that's out. And i just cant rationalize reassembling it, paying to send it to them, paying them who knows how much to replace the bar, waiting who knows how long to get it back when I'm perfectly capable of doing it myself, and if I could find it, have my weapon functioning in less than a week. Every other brand of weapon I've ever owned, I've been able to buy the part either directly, or aftermarket and have it shipped in less than a week. It just frustrates me to not be able to repair my own weapon

I wonder if you could get this to work.

I think if I were you, I'd watch for a chance to get the part(s) used and just take care of it yourself.

You may try the chat option on the Taurus web site. Sometimes they have parts and sometimes they don't, but it is worth a try.
