Taurus Tracker firing pin retaining pin

    Hello all,

I'm a first time poster here and hope that someone among the experts can help.

In the course of cleaning my Taurus Tracker 627 (4" .357), the firing pin retaining pin fell out. Not sure when it happened but it is now long gone. I realize I need to buy a new one but I have no idea where or what part it is.

I've tried reaching out to Taurus but no one ever returns my emails. I can find other firing pin retaining pins for Taurus revolvers that look very similar but not sure if they will work. Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

    Mark

The best way to contact Taurus is on their web site "chat" function. They seem to be reachable there, while phone has very long wait times and email is often left hanging.

Hopefully there will be some knowledgeable folks along to give you some better answers, but that's all I have for you.

Good luck and please post your ultimate findings here so you can provide information for the next guy that comes along.

I had that happen to me many years ago with My Taurus® Mdl 617SS2 357 Magnum. I made my own by cutting a piece off a large paperclip. Still going strong 7K rounds later.
