    Failed safety recall replacement?

Anybody know why Taurus won't send me a replacement for the one I shipped to them last year? I feel like I'm getting jerked around. I'm just about ready to contact a lawyer.

There are lots of stories on this board about long delays. I've seen where guns were sent in and replaced, only to be found sitting at the local FFL waiting to be picked up. It seems it is (or at least was) common practice to ship the replacement to the chosen FFL, with no indication of ownership. You may want to call your FFL and see if they have a Taurus sitting unclaimed in the back room.

It seems Taurus has no idea what status a return is in. Have you contacted their customer service to see if they have a clue?

I agree calling your designated FFL would be a good first step. My replacement pistol sat for 10 days at my FFL and the FFL claimed they had no information to contact me. Second call customer services or use the chat feature if it is still available.

It is also possible your work order was lost but customer service should be able to verify your initial claim.

A lawyer's going to cost you several times what the gun is worth. Contact them by chat and ask them for status. "Last Year" wasn't that long ago, depending on when you shipped it. I got mine in four months, but that was at the very beginning of this disaster and from what I've read here after that I did good. We've had people wait many months...even a year or more in extreme cases. But they did get guns eventually.

Do check with your FFL. They did that to me, just sent a replacement with no identification. Getting pissed off won't help you.
