I have not thus far ever had that problem, after cowboy loads, Black Powder loads, and even the aluminum ones.

But, I know that cleaning of the cylinder, including the extractor area is important. If it is dragging on the frame it could cause it not to fully rotate.

However, if it does not rotate at all, there could be a problem with either the star, or the part that engages the star to rotate the cylinder.

Either you have a build up of residue on the face of the cylinder binding on the forcing cone, your ejecter rod is backing out of the ejection star, or you have grit and grime in the trigger indexing portion of the gun which needs to be cleaned.

what does it mean to drag on the frame? do you mean the ejection rod isn't in all of the way due to filth?

Yes! Or there could be a burr on the metal not allowing it to seat. It could be as simple as the ejector rod being loose too.

    Re: taurus judge problems

This is for Robby or anyone who can answer. Where would a burr be??
I shot 29 rounds consecutively .the first 5 were Federal .410 shotshells, no problems. I then shot 19 rounds of Blazer ammo and on the twentieth the cylinder failed to rotate. It wouldn't move until I waited a while.
Is it possible Im shooting too many rounds too fast causing excessive heat??
I took it to a gun store and they told me some ammo brands are stubborn.

    Re: taurus judge problems

Sorry, I was away for the nite. My birthday!! Yeah, it sounds like you heated up the cylinder to me. It happened with my Rossi, when I ran about 4 or 5 cylinders thru it quickly. It locked up a bit, but cooling and cleaning the face of the cylinder helped. Probably a combination of the two, and a tight cylinder to forcing cone space. Burrs, could be on any of the moving parts, under the side plate, or even on the star on the cylinder.

I do not think you have any major problem, that will affect the use of the gun. How many times in PD, would we be shooting 20 to 25 rds in a hurry. (We will not be shooting a horde of Zombies).
