    Taurus Problems

A little over a year ago, I purchased a Brand new Blue 605. After about 400 rounds of 357, it "got out of time" as the dealer said. It would shave off a piece of the bullet and lock up the cylinder. Sent it to Miami for repairs, came back a couple of weeks later and was good for another 400-500 rounds. Then it started locking up again, now without shaving the bullet. You could put 5 spent shells in and dry fire all you wanted but it would not fire a full cylinder without locking. So it went to the local pawn shop. Got to missing it so I bought a stainless 605 in October, Same thing.....after 400 rounds. Sent it back on Xmas eve. I'll not buy another Taurus, and I will have my other 4 Taurus wheel guns for sale. "life of the gun" don't mean squat in my book. Good luck to the rest of you!
Try to take it and die

Thanks for the luck. Never had a problem but if I ever do Taurus will always be there. Sorry for your soon to be losses.
I don't always open carry, but when I do I prefer DeSantis.

Sorry your experience with the 605 has been so traumatic, that is just down right bad luck! I have the 44SS8 44 magnum and I now have shot 500 rounds and so far it has been well. I will give it a few 100 more and see if it will hold up; I sure don't want it to fail when that bear may be charging! Thanks for the report, sorry Taurus has not met your expectations, but I know how it is. Better luck with you next brand.

    Happy Trails!!

Wow! this is a big departure from a post that you made back in March of 2013:

"I doubt that I would bash a Taurus because I own five Taurus revolvers. And Love them all, and shoot them often".

Of course people and their opinions change from time to time. Sorry that you now feel the need to bash Taurus, but, as Big Skiff said, post them in the classified section, and, I am sure that they will be snapped up. I did notice that in many of your previous posts, you stated that you had done quite a bit of polishing, gunsmithing and other work on the actions of your other Taurus guns, so in all fairness, be sure to mention that in the descriptions.

Looking forward to seeing your adds, there are a lot of true Taurus fans on this site, and, selling them shouldn't be a problem.
I strongly support gun control, how else are you going to hit anything?

My 20 year old Model 441 has almost 15000 rounds of hand loads thru it. None of my other Tauri have that many but I fully expect they will. Taurus quality is tops in my inventory of more than 30 revolvers from several makers.
