    Worth it?

So the curve was pretty much a dud - I know my shop ended up giving them away for a contest because they wouldn't sell. But I see them for $175 with laser new and was thinking, for that price, is it worth getting one for a b/u gun, tackle box type, etc.? Thoughts? Anyone own and recommend?
    Thanks!

For that money you can get a new G2C, SCCY, and a used one for less.

    Yep...I'd go that way also.

I swore that that Curve was one waste of a firearm. Didn't make any sense to curve shape a small pistol. That being said, I now own two of them, both of which I gave more per pistol than what you are talking.

The curve fits very well in my pocket being held in place with the side clip. And while it does not have a manual side safety, it does come with the trigger guard holster/cover that attaches to my belt loop to assure me that it is not going to come loose and drop from the pocket. The trigger guard cover not only secures the pistol well, yet it releases easily with a quick pull of the pistol.

Respectfully accurate as a BUG or pocket pistol, and has proven to be reliable as well. The laser and flash light are nice little touches, but lets be honest a pistol this small is not for accuracy over any distance with our without a laser. I guess the laser could be a deterrent is shined in the eyes of the bad guy or the red dot gets noticed on his center mass.

So at $175 I would have to say give it a shot...….safely of course.

Found another site selling for $134 new. Pretty soon they'll be paying you - lol.

    Disregard - misleading ad - it's for light/laser only - ooops.

I don't have one and have no plans to get one (even though I like the .380) but I thought they had sold well beyond Taurus estimates. I think I've read that somewhere, maybe even on this board.

I can't say I've heard or seen anything bad about 'em, mostly the opposite in the way of reviews. It's not on my list but if I were to try one, that could change. I know the barrel's straight but I'm afraid the curve of the gun would throw me off, not sure I could even hit the barn side of a broad door with it. For me, it's not a "never shot but bought" gun but I'd like to try one.

Some day those might have value as a curiosity. Probably not my lifetime though.

For those that want them, or have them and like them, I say go for it!

I'd give one a try, but not for a tackle box or just bouncing around my glove box. The whole purpose of the Curve was to be comfortable riding in a close-to-body holster or a pocket holster, conforming to the shape of your hip or leg. It's not a bad concept, but Taurus may have abandoned it for other things. If you can pick up one for cheap, it's probably not a bad investment if the gun inspects out good.
