[QUOTE=mnewsom13;783266]I've had my PT1911 for a few months now and absolutely love it. .........It pulls consistently at about 2 1/2 lbs or so, no creep, no overtravel.

You would be foolish to mess with a gun you absolutely love and has a 2.5 lb trigger with no creep! The function is way more important than the form!

2.5 LB. in a single action trigger is very light, to light. i guess if all it is used for is target/range it could be okay. 4 LB. in a 1911 is the lightest i personally like, as long as there is no creep, overtravel and breaks crisp. i do carry my 1911's though just not target/range pistols.

2.5 # no creep crisp trigger, I'm all about that, its good for some runnin an gunnin sports, but as nice as it is, its not going to make it at Camp Perry.
No one makes a production 2.5# Trigger, if they do please tell me who, a production gun with a 2.5 trigger is a malfunction and I would be looking at the sear, hammer and the sear spring.

actually I have a totally stock, not adjusted/touched Savage 93R 17 BVTS that came out of the box with a sub 2 pound trigger pull.
I just looked at the adjustment tool after shooting it and laughed!
OF course you were talking about a 1911 I am sure.
