    range trip for spectrum

Thought I would post a follow up, after a number of range visits finally decided my spectrum is a qualified carry gun, I've fired between 450-500 rounds overall
trigger has improved and gun seems more smooth. I did switch to Tetra grease for the slide rails on all my firearms action appears more slick, very pleased with
it. I'm still surprised by the accuracy of such a little gun.

Agreed. mine has about the same round count. Mine took a little breaking in time but a good cleaning/lube seemed to fix the minor kinks. My girl is looking at one as well probably in the Miami Blue color. As mentioned it is pretty accurate, but we both enjoy shooting this little pistol.

No doubt there is a break in period and they require more lube/cleaning in my opinion then a full size gun.

    Great report!

Amazing what a few dabs of nail polish will do for a Spectrum........

Was so impressed with the accuracy after this that I ordered 4 more extended mags for the range. Hate loading mags at the range.

    Like the contrast.

I did white front and back. Friend used red on front (I tried that on my G2 9MM, but in low light lost the front sight).

Think a yellow or white front and maybe the opposite rear would be good. I had white paint available (craft paint), so used white on all my guns (pretty good visibility in low light, but some contrast color might work better).

One other thing I did was set a dab of white in the middle of rear sight, then just bring the front sight to that dab of white (for left / right aim) that seems easier to me. Some guns, I seem to have to set the front higher or lower in back sight to get elevation.

The red / green combo works best for me. I wear tri-focals & have to cock my head way back to see the front sight. This way I can just wear safety glasses & see the front sight just fine. The target is a bit blurry, but that is not as important to me.
